Terra Bella Box Review, January 2017

Terra Bella Box, $32.95 per month (free shipping to US, see site for international shipping rates)

This angle makes baby Henry look like a giant!  He's still a teeny thing, though.  He's really enjoying box modeling.  I always get kisses afterward.

Terra Bella Box is a monthly natural, cruelty-free beauty box.  Subscribers receive three to four skincare, hair care, and/or bath products per month.  All subscribers receive the same products.  Terra Bella has started a second box, The Makeup Edit, so if you prefer makeup products to skincare, then that might be the box for you.  You are also able to switch back and forth between The Makeup Edit and Terra Bella if you want.  The Makeup Edit is $29.95 per month, so it's a little cheaper than Terra Bella.

Terra Bella Box sent me this box free of charge for review.

Here's what I got this month:

The January Terra Bella Box was worth $61.50.  That's almost double the price of the subscription, so I'm happy with the value.  Everything was full size this month!  We got two bath products, a body product, and a lip product.

First up is the Parlo Cosmetics Whipped Shave Cream in Sweet Coconut Lime.  This has a light coconut lime scent with a little bit of vanilla and verbena mixed in.  The scent is much more subtle than I expected, but I'm okay with that.  To use this, you just scoop out a little bit, apply it to wherever you need it, then shave.  It gave me a good, close shave and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

The Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Organic Intensive Skin Thérapie is a blend of jojoba, coconut, and castor oils, comfrey, beeswax, vitamin E, key lime, plantain, burdock, coconut, and sweet orange.  It has a creamy consistency and seems a little greasy at first, but it doesn't leave you feeling greasy at all once it has absorbed into your skin.  It has a natural scent to it that goes away after a couple of minutes.  They recommend using this on dry, cracked lips, hands, and feet.  We've had a bit of a cold snap lately, so this came at the perfect time!  A little goes a long way with this, so start out with less than you think you need and you can always use more if necessary.

I got the Sugar Dunk MiniSampler in my Mommy Mailbox this month, so I was surprised to find it in my Terra Bella Box, too!  I love these little scrubs, though, so I was happy to get a second set.  There are four different body scrubs:  Pretty 'n' Pink (mint grapefruit salt scrub), Morning Glory (orange vanilla sugar scrub), Mud Pie (cinnamon coffee sugar scrub), and Moon Salt (lemon lavender salt scrub).  The Morning Glory is supposed to wake you up, the Moon Salt is supposed to relax you before bed, the Mud Pie is supposed to fight cellulite and wrinkles, and the Pretty 'N' Pink is supposed to make you feel less stressed.  These are all very exfoliating, but they aren't overly rough.  The Orange Vanilla is my favorite, but I love them all.

The final product was the Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo in Mandarin Green Orange and Ginger.  I got a smaller version of this product years ago in another box, but I'm happy to get another one.  I love the orange ginger scent and I like that it isn't overly strong.  This lip conditioner is extraordinarily hydrating and made my lips feel so much better after I got in from the cold.

I'm really happy with the January Terra Bella Box!  I loved everything this month, but my favorite product was the Sugar Dunk MiniSampler.  The lip conditioner and the Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Organic Intensive Skin Thérapie were perfect for the cold winter weather we've been getting, so they were great choices for a January box.  The Parlo shaving cream was a little more tropical feeling, but the coconut lime scent is nice in the dead of winter.  Terra Bella Box always puts together fabulous boxes and January was no exception.
