Petit Vour Review, January 2017

Petit Vour, $15 per month

Henry is looking so grown up!  I wish he could stay little.  His ears aren't up anymore, so he doesn't look like the Petit Vour buns.  He said they should have a lop bunny on there.

Petit Vour is a vegan, cruelty-free beauty box.  Each month, subscribers get four sample size products.  They are often heavier on skincare than makeup, but there is always a mix.  Oftentimes, subscribers get the same products with some scent or color variation, but Petit Vour has had some box variations recently.  It doesn't happen every month, but it does happen some months.  You can e-mail them to get a profile to fill out if you subscribe so that they can better customize your boxes.

Petit Vour sent me this box free of charge for review.

Here's what I got this month:

The January Petit Vour was worth $39.  That's over two and a half times the price of the box, so I'm happy with the value.  One product was full size, there were two travel sizes, and a small sample.  We got a nail polish instead of a makeup item this month, but I like getting nail polish in boxes.  We also got two hair care products and just one skincare product.  It wasn't your typical month with Petit Vour, but I like it.

I love Lauren B. nail polish, so I'm always happy to get another one.  This color looks so different depending on the lighting!  It's called Vintage on the Vine and it's a mauve-y, purple-y, greyish, taupe-ish color.  It looks lavender in the picture above, but it doesn't normally look that purple.  The color it looks like in the picture of the entire box is closer to what it looks like in person.  This gave me phenomenal coverage with just one coat and took a couple of days before it chipped, which is good as I am quite hard on my nails and usually chip them the first day.  I kept looking at my nails and thinking what a beautiful color it was.  This is some of my favorite nail polish ever.  The color name wasn't listed on the card, so it's likely that there was some color variation.

The EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner are Petit Vour's most popular shampoo and conditioner.  They balance your hair's pH and make hair soft, shiny, and strong.  Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and they left my hair looking shiny and feeling soft.  These aren't cheap, but they're not extraordinarily expensive, either.  I would recommend these if you are looking for a vegan, color-safe shampoo and conditioner.

The final product was the Blissoma Tone Adaptive Energy Tonique.  This is a toner that won't dry your skin out!  It's hydrating instead of drying, which is rare to find in a toner.  The toner has a nice, fresh scent and is meant for people with acne and those of us with oily or combination skin.  This helped me get through my monthly hormonal breakout and the recovery time seemed faster than usual.  I can be picky about my toners, but I really like this one.

I loved everything in the January Petit Vour!  What a fabulous month!  My favorite product was definitely the Lauren B. nail polish.  The color was just gorgeous and perfect for me.  Best of all, it was the full size product, so I'll be able to wear it as much as I want.  The shampoo and conditioner were also amazing and the samples were big enough that I could get a few uses out of them.  This is one of the best Petit Vour boxes I've gotten!
