"This looks like a nice place for a baby bunny to nap!  After a long day of modeling, I need my beauty rest!"  Bunnies love tight, cozy spots, so they love going inside makeup bags.  Soon, though, they're not going to fit in them.

Beauteque BB Bag is a monthly subscription that sends you a variety of Korean (and occasionally Japanese) beauty products.  Korea is known for having some of the best skincare products out there, so I love getting K-beauty boxes.  You have to be a little on the adventurous side because Korean beauty companies tend to use ingredients that you don't see in products from the US and Europe.  Snail mucus, donkey milk, bird's nest, and sea cucumber are common ingredients.  They use these ingredients because they work, though, so they're worth a try.  Each month, subscribers get six or more full size products plus a makeup bag.  One of the products is usually a beauty tool, one is usually a makeup product, and the rest is usually skincare.  The boxes are generally worth $65+.  If you're new to K-beauty, this is a great way to get acquainted with the companies, products, and ingredients.

Beauteque sent me the BB Bag free of charge for review.

This is what I got in my July BB Bag:

My July Beauteque BB Bag was worth $65.48, which is about 2.5 times the price of the box.  There's a makeup product, a beauty tool, a body product, and three skincare products, so the mix is perfect.  Each month has a theme and this month's was Destination:  Beauty.  The bag goes along well with the theme.  I love how the inside of the bag is purple.  This is the first time I can remember Beauteque putting their logo on the makeup bag.

The first product, which was also one of the spoilers for this month, was the Purpletale 5 Steps to Lovely Skin.  This is an all-in-one skincare pack that is perfect for travel.  It has a cleanser, an ampoule, a face moisturizer, a neck moisturizer, and a sheet mask.  These are all for one-time use.  Every step of the treatment worked well.  At $7.99 for a one-time facial, it's a little expensive, but it left my skin feeling firm and moisturized, so it is worth the price.

The Milky Dress Deo Essence Soft Armpit Cream is not only a deodorant, but is also a skin brightener.  I guess if you find your armpits to be too dark, this product might be for you, but I can't say I realized that was an issue for anyone.  You have to apply this product with your hands, which is not my favorite way to apply deodorant.  It's a cream that turns into a soft powder once it is absorbed.  This has a light fruity scent to it that I liked.  I can't say I noticed my armpits getting any brighter after I used this, but I imagine you would have to use it for an extended period of time to see brightening results.  Does anyone really need brighter armpit skin?  It has never even crossed my mind that my armpit skin needs to be brightened.

Swatch of Secret Kiss Chubby Jelly Lip Tint in Candy Orange

Swatch of Secret Kiss Chubby Jelly Lip Tint in Candy Orange

I've heard a lot about Korean lip tints, but this is my first time trying one!  Inside the tube is a bright orange gel.  You apply a thick coat of the gel to your lips, and allow it to dry for about 10-15 minutes.  After it is sufficiently dry, you peel the gel off and it leaves your lips tinted.  The swatch above is the gel on my skin.  When you remove it, the color isn't quite as bright, but it's definitely there.  After I washed the gel off, I had a stain on my arm for a couple of days.  It gave my lips a definite deep orange tint.  This would be perfect for a beach day when you don't want a full face of makeup, but you want a long-lasting, maintenance-free lip color.  Subscribers could receive different colors of this product.  I wish I had gotten the red, but orange is fun, too.

The Innerskin Soothing Cleansing Water contains witch hazel, hyaluronic acid, collagen, and ceramides, so it's moisturizing and toning in addition to cleansing.  You put the water on a cotton pad and then rub your face with the pad to remove makeup and cleanse your skin.  You don't even have to rinse with this product.  I used makeup remover to take off the bulk of my makeup because this won't remove heavy foundation or waterproof eye makeup, but this is good to clean up anything your makeup remover missed and to wash and tone your face without drying it out.

Subscribers received either the Esfolio Pure Snail Moisture Soothing Gel or the Esfolio Aloe Vera Moisture Soothing Gel.  I was desperately hoping for the snail gel and was so worried I would get the aloe gel because that's just my luck.  This is a huge tub of snail mucus gel, so it should last for quite some time.  Usually, snail mucus products are for the face, but they recommend using this on your whole body for moisture and for healing your sunburn.  I know snail mucus sounds gross, but it works (and don't worry, the snails are not harmed in mucus collection -- they collect the mucus from a screen that the snails slither on).  Korean escargot farmers noticed that cuts on their hands healed much faster than anywhere else on their bodies and figured out that the snail mucus accelerated healing.  Snail mucus is great for healing breakouts quickly.  One of my best friends is getting married on Friday and, of course, my face had to break out this week.  My face takes forever to heal usually, but this snail mucus is helping my skin get back in shape in no time.  If you're not a vegan, you need snail mucus in your life.  Seriously, this stuff is amazing.  I get so excited every time I get a new snail product in my BB Bag and I'm ecstatic that I got an enormous tub of snail mucus this month.

The last product was a basic black sleeping mask.  It's pretty average, nothing special about this.  It'll do the job.  It fits in well with the Destination:  Beauty theme as a sleeping mask is great for the plane.

I'm loving my July BB Bag!  The Esfolio snail mucus was just perfect, and I loved the Purpletale facial treatment and the Inner Skin Soothing Cleansing Water.  The Secret Kiss Chubby Jelly Lip Tint was nice, but not quite my color.  I can't say I really understand the need for an armpit brightener, but, if that's something you've been wanting, you're in luck.  The sleeping mask was fine, but not something I really needed.  Overall, though, I was quite happy.  This month had a fun theme and the bag design and products fit the theme well.

What did you think of this month's BB Bag?  Did you get the snail or aloe?  If you got the aloe, what did you think of it?  Did anyone get a different color lip tint?  How did it work?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
