Terra Bella Box, $32.95 for regular Terra Bella Box, $29.95 for the Makeup Edit Box (free shipping to the US, flat rate shipping to Canada and Australia, and actual shipping costs for all other countries)
This two-week-old baby bun liked hanging out in the squiggles in the Terra Bella Box!
Terra Bella Box is a monthly box that includes natural, cruelty-free bath and beauty products from small businesses. If you want to discover brands you probably wouldn't encounter on your own, Terra Bella is one of the best ways to do it. There are some big changes in store for Terra Bella Box in the coming months! Previously, Terra Bella had charged $34.95 for a box, plus actual shipping costs, for five to six items. The boxes were often a little light on makeup and heavier on skincare, bath, hair care, and body products, which some people loved and, of course, others didn't. Starting in July, there will be something for everyone! The regular Terra Bella Box will contain three to four bath, body, hair, and skincare items now and will cost $32.95 with free shipping to the US, flat rate shipping to Canada and Australia, and actual shipping costs to all other countries. There will now also be a box called The Makeup Edit, which will cost $29.95 for at least three makeup products, with the same shipping rates. Terra Bella Box Lite is no more and long-term subscriptions are no longer available. Subscriptions will be month-to-month and you'll be able to switch from the regular box to the makeup box or vice versa any time you like as long as it is before the cutoff date for that month. July will be a transitional month, so you might get some makeup in your regular Terra Bella Box that month, but, in August, the transition will be complete. I'm excited to see how it all works out! The owner, Kate, has been listening to what her customers want, so I think a lot of people will be very happy with the changes.

Here's what came in my box this month:
- Mann Made Sunscreen Stick (full size, worth $12)
- The Merry Apothecary Brightening Mineral Veil with Orange Oil for All Complexions (full size, worth $7)
- Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum (full size, worth $28.99)
- Formulary Fifty-Five Summer Solstice Sparkling Bath Tablet (full size, worth $6)
- River's Bend Botanicals Refreshing Peppermint Dusting Powder (full size, worth $8)
The June Terra Bella Box was worth $61.99. That's a good value for the price. The curation this month was perfect for the beginning of the summer. There's a mix of sunscreen, makeup, skincare, bath, and body. It's rare for a beauty box to hit so many different beauty categories in one box! This might be the only time I've seen such a wide range.
Mann-Made Bath and Body's Sunscreen Stick uses zinc oxide to block the sun's rays. It also contains carrot oil which protects against the sun and beeswax to offer some water-resistance. I find liquid sunblock to be much easier to apply than sunscreen in stick form, but, as long as you are careful not to miss a spot when applying this, you'll be fine. It has a bit of stickiness to it when it first goes on, but that goes away after a minute. This smells like shea butter and beeswax, so I don't love the scent. The scent is faint,, though, and didn't bother me. I used this and left a patch of skin without sunblock and I could see a difference -- this definitely did offer good sun protection. If you're looking for a natural sunblock with no nanoparticles, this is a good option.
I've often found that no matter what I do, when I finish with a powder all over my face, it looks a little obvious, so I gave up on it years ago. When I got Merry Apothecary's Brightening Mineral Veil, though, I had to test it so I could give it a review. I ended up loving it! This made my skin look radiant and gave it a flawless finish. I applied a very light dusting of it and couldn't believe how great my skin looked. If you've read any of my other reviews lately, you've read that my skin tone is uneven right now. This powder helped even my coloring out. A little powder is great in the summer when you have an oily T-zone like me! I'm so happy I finally found a powder that works for me. Also, I love the orange scent. My only complaint about this product is that the canister is filled too high. As you can see in the picture above, it is filled to the brim, and that has made opening and closing it messy. Once I've used more of the product up, it'll probably be fine, but, right now, a little cloud of dust goes up every time I open and close it, no matter how careful I am.
The Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum was the spoiler for the June box. Vitamin C is fabulous for your skin and will help minimize wrinkles and repair damage from the sun. This serum has a light, citrus-y scent to it. Dermadeli recommends using this serum two to three times per week and storing it in the refrigerator. I like that this serum is very lightweight and not oily at all, perfect for the summer!
I was surprised by the size and weight of Formulary 55's Summer Solstice Sparkling Bath Tablet. It's bigger and heavier than I expected. This has a strong ginger scent to it with a little citrus thrown in. While ginger isn't something I think of as a summer scent, it works really well with the citrus. It made for a very relaxing bath and my skin felt extra soft after I got out of the tub. At $6 for one bath, it's a little expensive, but it's good to indulge occasionally.
River's Bend Botanicals' Refreshing Peppermint Dusting Powder is talc-free and can be used wherever you are feeling a little sweaty. If you have issues with under-boob sweat or sweat anywhere you can't really use deodorant, this powder is perfect to keep those areas dry and smelling good. You can use it on your armpits, too, if you prefer not to use deodorant. I don't sweat much at all, so I sprinkled this on my sheets before bed and found the scent to be very relaxing. The peppermint scent isn't faint, but it also isn't overwhelming.
Each month, Terra Bella Box includes a card with a spoiler for the following month. I absolutely love spoilers and I wish all boxes would do this. July's Terra Bella Box will include Skin Fix Margarita Sour Body Scrub. Sugar scrubs are some of my favorite bath products, so I'm looking forward to trying this. I'm not sure what I'm going to think of the margarita scent. It's a scent that I'm going to either love or hate.
The June Terra Bella Box was a lot of fun. I loved the range of products and thought they were all great choices for the start of summer. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Merry Apothecary's Brightening Mineral Veil, although Dermadeli's serum is a close second. The sunblock worked well, but stick application is not my favorite. The relaxing scents of the River's Bend dusting powder and the Formulary 55 bath tablet were much needed after moving to my new place! I'm looking forward to seeing the changes Terra Bella Box will be making in July and August.
