Petit Vour, $15 per month US, $23 per month Canada
Here's the April product information card. It's always fun to see the art on each month's Petit Vour card.
Here's my sweet Emmett posing with the Petit Vour bunnies for the last time. At 5 months old, he is almost fully grown. He didn't really want to cooperate with the photo session this month. Don't worry, I'll still have Emmett and you'll probably see the occasional picture of him! You'll get to watch a new baby bunny model grow up next to the Petit Vour bunnies! Here's the new model:
This cutie is a 20-day-old Siamese Mini Satin. We aren't sure yet if it's a boy or a girl. We'll know before next month's picture.
Here's what came in my April Petit Vour box:
- Studio 78 Paris We Move Around Cream Eyeshadow in 02 In Venice (full size, worth $32)
- Kumari Luxury River Bath and Body Oil (deluxe sample, worth $8.50; full size costs $34)
- Bedrock & Bloom Smart Ash All Natural and Organic Teeth Whitener (small sample, worth $3; full size costs $30)
- Juara Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm (small sample, worth $2.19; full size costs $20)
My April Petit Vour was worth $45.69, which is a little over three times the subscription price. This month, Petit Vour had some variation in boxes. I'm not completely sure, but I think this might be the first time Petit Vour has done that. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong about that.
Petit Vour is a vegan and cruelty-free monthly beauty subscription. Each month, subscribers get four products. The products are a mix of skincare, hair care, and makeup. Petit Vour is often one of my favorite subscriptions. If you're interested in vegan beauty, Petit Vour is a great way to get a good introduction to high quality vegan companies.
First up, we have the Studio 78 Paris We Move Around cream eyeshadow in the color 02 In Venice. I've swatched the shadow below. Studio 78 Paris has some strange names for their products -- We Move Around eyeshadow, We Walk blush, We Evade bronzing powder, We Take Off eyeliner, etc. The names seem to be translated directly from French, so perhaps the names sound less strange to French speakers. That isn't really important, though. This is my first time trying a Studio 78 product. I was impressed. This eyeshadow has some serious pigment, as you can see in the swatch. The color is a deep taupe with a slight bit of plumminess to it. I applied it over Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and it lasted all day. Oftentimes, cream shadow will crease on me after a couple of hours, but that wasn't an issue with this product. If you want a cream shadow that will hold up all day and has amazing pigment, this Studio 78 shadow is worth a look.
This smells sooo good! The lavender, mint, and chamomile go together beautifully. The scent isn't overly strong, but it's definitely noticeable. The Kumari Luxury River Bath and Body Oil can be used in the tub or as a moisturizing oil. Kumari recommends using it as a body oil after a shower to get the full effects of it. This is meant to help with irritated skin and has calming effects. The oil absorbs quickly and doesn't leave you feeling greasy. Usually, body oil isn't my favorite thing, but I really like this one.
I've gotten the Bedrock and Bloom Smart Ash teeth whitener in Kloverbox and Vegan Cuts boxes, but I didn't mind getting another one from Petit Vour. This is a charcoal-based powder that really does whiten teeth and won't damage your enamel in the process. You have to be very careful, though, because it would be easy to ruin light colored clothing with this. The powder can go everywhere! If you're clumsy like me, you might want to try brushing your teeth naked when you use this. Don't worry if you spill it in your sink -- you can scrub your sink with whatever powder fell in and it will get your sink looking shiny again. This looks like a teeny sample, but it will last you for a long time. Just wet your toothbrush and dip your brush in the jar. All you need is a little bit of the powder on the ends of the bristles and you should be good to go. This is a great product and I need to use it more often. The only thing that keeps me from using it more is the potential mess.
Finally, there was the Juara Hand and Nail Balm. This not only hydrates your skin, but also makes your nails stronger and has anti-aging properties. Hands can really show your age, so an anti-aging hand lotion is a great thing to have. I love the coconut scent! It's very moisturizing without being greasy and it absorbs quickly. I wish the sample was a little bit bigger, but it's big enough that I can tell it's a great product. My hands feel so soft and smooth after I use it.
This was another fabulous month from Petit Vour! I loved all the products. I was trying to choose a favorite and couldn't. It was a good mix of products and everything was of high quality. I'm really impressed by the April Petit Vour and am looking forward to seeing what May has in store.
