It's already December!  This year has gone by too fast.  It's time for the November wrap-up.  I ordered my PopSugar box late, so it didn't make it in time to be included, but I'll post my review of it in a few days.  I include only regular monthly or quarterly boxes, no limited edition or special boxes, so the Julep gift boxes I got for subscribing and the free mini box BeautyCon sent me to try to get me to resubscribe aren't included in this.  Below, I've given a quick overview of each box, but I've included links to the full reviews of each box if you want more information.  Also, click through to the full review if you want a links to the beauty box's website or the websites of the products that were in the boxes.  Occasionally, my opinion of a product will change after I've had a chance to use it more.  When that happens, I'll make a note of it here.  At the end, I'll choose my favorite boxes and products for the month.

In my November Birchbox, I got six items, probably because one of them was a perfume sample.  I got small shampoo, conditioner, and finishing serum samples from the Iles 3-Step Formula.  I loved the floral scent and the added shine it gave my hair, but not the extra volume it gave me.  The sample of the Coastal Scents Blush and Bronzer Palette was teeny and it was hard to get the product on my brush.  The blush didn't have good staying power on me and the bronzer wasn't the right color for me at all.  The Ardency Inn Modster Supercharged Eyeliner in Black goes on smoothly and stays on all day, but it's black eyeliner.  Why can't beauty box companies send out different eyeliner colors?  I wasn't expecting to like the Raw Spirit Wildfire Eau de Parfum  -- it was described as a "dry, woodsy, sensual scent" -- but I loved it.  This isn't normally the type of perfume I go for, but it ended up being perfect for me.  The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit sample came with a deluxe sample of the face wash and one cleansing cloth.  You have to wash cloths that are being used on your face all the time, so I haven't really been using the cloth, but I like the cleanser.  The eucalyptus scent isn't the best, but the cleanser gets my face squeaky clean without drying it out.  The final product was the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.  This is a face oil that you're supposed to use before bed.  It was moisturizing, but the sample was too small to see any anti-aging results.  The November Birchbox wasn't my favorite ever, but I was pretty happy with it.

My Glossybox was missing one of the products this month!  I was supposed to get a Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask sample, but it wasn't in my box.  I let Glossybox know a couple of weeks ago and they said they would send a replacement, but I haven't gotten it yet.  Palmetto Derma saw my review and contacted me.  They asked if they could send me a replacement sample and they've already mailed it.  I should get it tomorrow.  I've tried their Antioxidant Mask before and had good luck with it, so I will be happy to have a new sample of it.  I loved the Beautiful Nutrition Grapefruit Detox Shine Repair Shampoo.  It made my hair extra soft and shiny.  I wish I had the conditioner to go with it, though.  I liked the Gerard Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Ecstasy, a light plummy color.  It worked well and stayed on all day, but I prefer a clear lip liner.  The De Bruyère Pearly Eyeshadow Pencil in Bubble 07 was a beautiful champagne color, but it didn't hold up on me all day.  Also, I can't begin to tell you how many champagne eyeshadows I've gotten in boxes, so I wish Glossybox would have gone for a different color.  The final product in my box was the Lycopene Skincare Crema Rinnovante.  The sample I got was only half full.  This was moisturizing, but it didn't stand out in any way.  This wasn't a bad Glossybox (if you ignore the missing product), but it wasn't a great one either.  I liked two of the four products I got and the other two were okay.

The November ipsy Glam Bag was fantastic.  I liked the Absolute New York Matte Stick in NFA52 Dark Red, but it was probably my least favorite product in the bag.  The lipstick was a little dry, which made it hard to work with, and I needed to touch it up throughout the day.  That said, it's not bad for a $5.99 lipstick!  The SLMissGlam W20 Angled Eye Brush worked well.  The bristles were soft, but not so soft it made the brush hard to control, and it picked up a lot of product but didn't leave me with a lot of fallout.  I've gotten a million Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascaras in beauty boxes over the years, but it's one of my favorite mascaras ever, so I'm always happy to get a new one.  It gives me lots of length, some extra volume, and doesn't clump.  This is my second time getting the tarte cosmetics Maracujá Oil, but I'm a big fan and it's been a couple of years since I've gotten one.  The oil is so moisturizing, it absorbs quickly, and it doesn't leave your face feeling greasy.  The last product in my November ipsy was the SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Eye Concentrate.  I've tried other SKIN&CO products, but this was my first time trying the eye concentrate.  I love the scent and found it to be very gentle and moisturizing.  This is one of the better ipsy bags I've gotten!

I got eleven products in my November DermStore BeautyFix!  Three of the eleven products weren't for me.  Tocca's Florence perfume is a very green smelling floral that I've gotten in other boxes and have never liked.  The Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Eyeshadow is called 3-in-1 because it can be used as an eyeshadow, highlighter, or blush.  It's too dark for a highlighter on my fair skin and it's not the best blush or eyeshadow color on me.  It's kind of a boring color.  The other product that didn't work for me was the Ouidad Botanical Boost Curl Energizing and Refreshing Spray.  I've heard this works great for people with curly hair, but, as my hair is straight, I don't have any curls to boost or energize.  The beauty tool this month was Danielle Creations' Silky Clean Facial Brush.  This brush is extraordinarily soft and it made my face feel so clean.  The only thing is that I always forget to use brushes like this when washing my face.  My favorite product in the November BeautyFix box was the Eau Thermale Avène Soothing Moisture Mask.  This mask is easy to use and extremely moisturizing.  It's going to be perfect when the cold upstate NY winter dries out my skin.  There were two teeny samples -- the Phytomer Pionnière XMF White - Skin Translucency Cream and the Dermarché Labs BioREWIND.  The Phytomer cream was a brightener and the BioREWIND was an anti-aging night serum.  They are both extraordinarily expensive, which is why the samples were so small.  Unfortunately, when you send out teeny samples of a product, it makes it hard to tell how well the product works, especially if it's an anti-aging or brightening product.  If you can't tell how well something works, you're not going to want to spend tons of money on the full size.  There was a sample of Supersmile Whitening Floss, which is supposed to help whiten the small spaces between your teeth.  I didn't notice a whitening effect, but I imagine you would have to use it for quite a while to see a difference.  I never even realized that whitening floss existed.  The This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray is a relaxing combination of lavender and chamomile.  I liked it, but I don't know that it made me sleep any better.  The final product was the NūFace Prep-N-Glow, a disposable cloth that removes makeup with one side and exfoliates your face with the other.  I liked this a lot, but, at $1 per wipe, it's pretty expensive.  Overall, I'm happy with my November box.  It wasn't my favorite BeautyFix box ever, but it was solid.

My Play! by Sephora was one of the better ones I've gotten.  I loved four of the six products.  The perfume this month, Stella McCartney POP, is described as a floral woody fragrance, but all I could smell was sweetness.  I don't like sweet smelling perfumes at all.  The other product that I didn't like was the Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin-up Pink.  This had almost no pigment and was on the sticky side.  I loved the CoverFX Illuminating Primer.  I've gotten this product before and I was happy to get another one.  I'm low on primer, so this came at the perfect time.  It really smooths out any flaws and made my foundation go on perfectly and last all day.  The color of the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick, Rose Gold, was a little on the boring side as I have a lot of similarly colored eyeshadow, but the rosiness in it adds a little extra something to it.  The pigment was incredible and this stayed on all day without creasing.  I've loved GlamGlow SUPERMUD for years, so I am always happy to get another sample.  It's so expensive, so I never buy it for myself!  This is a mud mask with charcoal in it that draws out all the dirt from your pores.  You can see little dark dots where each pore is when this mask dries on your face, which is kind of gross, but fun.  The final product was the Estée Edit Dissolve the Drama 2-in-1 Makeup Remover and Cleanser.  You apply this to your face when its dry, rub it in a bit to remove the makeup, then add some water and wash your face.  It works well.  I used another facial cleanser after using this one as this is oil-based, but, if your skin is dry, this will be perfect for you.  Four of the six Play! product this month were hits for me, so I have no complaints.

Petit Vour had another good month in November.  The Elate Clean Cosmetics Universal Creme for Cheeks and Lips gave my cheeks a warm pink glow that was very flattering.  This was too subtle for my lips, but if you like just a hint of pink on your lips, this would work for you.  Ellovi previously made only body and lip butters, but they have now branched out into scrubs.  I got the Ellovi Scrub in Jasmine Rose.  This was gently exfoliating, but I am sad to report that I couldn't smell jasmine or rose at all.  I'm loving the W3ll People Realist Invisible Setting Powder. My makeup looked flawless all day when I used this.  My favorite use for it is to dab some on top of a pimple because it soaks up the oil so it doesn't look shiny and obvious.  The final product was the We Love Eyes Tea Tree Eyelid and Eyelash Makeup Remover.  It removed my eye makeup easily and wasn't irritating at all.  I would definitely recommend it.  I loved that three of the four products (the creme, the scrub, and the setting powder) were brand new, so Petit Vour subscribers got to be some of the first people to try them!

The Kloverbox theme for November was "getting ready for Thanksgiving get-togethers" and I think they did a great job finding products to fit the theme.  My favorite product was the Moody Sisters Blemish Serum.  This kills pimples quickly!  It works by drying them out, so don't overdo it with this or you'll get flaky skin.  The Sakari Botanicals Blue Corn Facial Mask was cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing.  It left my skin feeling silky.  The Meliora Cleaning Products Laundry Stain Removal Soap Stick was the perfect choice for a November box!  I'm clumsy and spill stuff on myself a lot, so this is great to have around when you're doing a lot of cooking.  This is a pre-treater for clothes and it will also remove mildew from shower curtains.  The Clean Slate Natural Cleansing Spray was another excellent choice for the November box.  This spray can be used to clean nonporous surfaces, so it's great for counters or sports equipment.  Not only does it clean, but it also smells great.  The final product was the Herbifolia Botanics Vegan Lip Kit.  The kit contained a peppermint lip scrub, a lip oil, and a lip balm.  The scrub left my lips soft and smooth, perfect for when I want to wear matte lipstick.  I've never had a lip oil before and loved how moisturizing this was.  The lip balm was your average lip balm.  Overall, I was really happy with the November Kloverbox!

My very first Mommy Mailbox was a lot of fun.  My absolute favorite product in it was the Wrenn Jewelry Becki Earrings in Rainbow Druzy.  I love druzy, but I've never had any druzy jewelry myself.  They're so sparkly and I'm loving the rainbow colors.  The OFRA Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Santa Ana surprised me.  I'm not the biggest fan of OFRA, but this lipstick impressed me.  The pigment was amazing and this lasted all day without feathering.  It was a very flattering color on me.  The San Francisco Salt Co. Himalayan Salt Bath Salts was very relaxing and soothing.  I prefer scented bath products, but I still enjoyed these bath salts.  I love Rifle Paper Co., so I was happy to get a notepad in my box.  The print on it wasn't my favorite, but it was still pretty and I'll enjoy using the pad.  The final product was the Wild Ophelia Maine Sea Salt Peanut Butter Cups.  These were extra dark, which I liked, but I wish the peanut butter had a little sweetness to it as they weren't as sweet as I would have liked.  I had heard of Mommy Mailbox but never looked at it before because I'm not a mom.  I just assumed it wasn't for me.  It's really a box that is great for most women, though, so don't let the name scare you away.  It reminds me a little bit of PopSugar.

Finally, my November Goodbeing was fantastic.  My favorite product was the Zyderma HS Clarifying Cream.  This is a cream that helps clear up breakouts.  It really does work.  I'm just sad it was such a small sample!  I also loved the SquareHue Nail Polish in Hurricane 2005.  The metallic pewter color was even prettier than I expected and I couldn't believe how quickly this dried and how long it lasted without chipping.  I'd love to try more SquareHue nail polish!  I liked the MyChelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C Radiance Lotion, a brightening moisturizer with a citrus-y scent.  It's a lightweight moisturizer that absorbed quickly.  The Noctua Diem Juniper Berry Purifying Mask is a Dead Sea mud mask that is great for those of us with oily and/or acne-prone skin.  It made my skin feel clean and less oily, but it wasn't drying at all.  The final product was the Au Naturale Rose Gold Highlighter.  This was a little too dark to work as a highlighter for me, but it made for a good blush.  It was on the dry side and difficult to get out of the pot.  The full size comes in stick form and I think it would be much easier to use that way.  This was another fabulous month from Goodbeing.

My favorite products this month were the SquareHue Nail Polish in Hurricane 2005 from Goodbeing, the Zyderma HS Clarifying Cream, also from Goodbeing, the Wrenn Jewelry Becki Earrings in Rainbow Druzy from Mommy Mailbox, and the Moody Sisters Blemish Serum from Kloverbox.  The W3ll People Realist Invisible Setting Powder gets an honorable mention.  I almost included it in my favorite products, but I was trying to keep it to four.

It's so hard to choose a favorite box!  I can never choose one.  I wanted to choose more than four, but I stopped myself.  My three favorites this month were Goodbeing, ipsy, and Play! by Sephora.  Kloverbox, Petit Vour, and Mommy Mailbox were runners up.  It was very close.

That's it for November!  My November PopSugar Must Have box is coming today, so I'll get that review up in a couple of days.  I liked the November boxes, but I'm really excited for December.  Beauty boxes often pull out all the stops this month!  I have tons of boxes coming and I'll be posting reviews of every one of them.
