Amor Naturals Fall Sample Box (Skincare), $19.99
It's hard to get them to model at this age! They just want to play! I can't believe how fast this little one has grown.
Amor Naturals makes natural, handmade bath, skincare, and body products. They had a quarterly box, but they discontinued it after the Summer 2016 box. I know so many of you loved the box and were disappointed when the subscription discontinued, but they are still going to offer occasional sample boxes and they always have individual products for sale on their site. If you want a sample box, act quickly because they always sell out fast!
Amor Naturals sent me this box free of charge for review.
Here's what I got in my Fall Sample Box from Amor Naturals:
- Amor Naturals Apple Hydrating Bio Essence
- Amor Naturals Blue Agave Moisture Mask
- Amor Naturals Facial Steam Bouquet No. 1
- Compressed Mask
I received the Skincare box, but there is also a Bath/Body option, which contains Mandarin Cacao Body Balm, Spice Body Polish, and Apple Hydrating Bio Essence. They sent me full size products in my box, but if you order a Fall Sample Box, you'll be getting smaller, sample size products.
I've gotten the Apple Hydrating Bio Essence before from Amor and loved it, so I was happy to get another bottle. This is one of my favorite products of theirs! The ingredient list is short and simple -- Northwest apple distilled water, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, pumpkin seed extract, and radish root ferment filtrate. This can be used as a first or last step in your skincare regimen, or it can be used as a toner. It's extremely hydrating, and will exfoliate, brighten your skin, and increase your production of collagen. It has a soft apple scent to it and it always leaves my skin feeling hydrated and radiant. I loved that they included a compressed mask with this! You add some essence (this essence or any essence you choose) to the mask, and it puffs up and becomes a sheet mask. It says to add just a few drops, but the mask was quite dry with just a few drops and didn't stick to my face, so I had to add more essence. I left it on my face for about fifteen minutes. It made it so that my face really got the full benefits of the essence. I had no idea that compressed sheet masks existed!
The Blue Agave Moisture Mask is another Amor Naturals product that I know and love. I got this in my very first Amor Naturals box in Spring 2015. This has grapefruit essential oil, which gives it a nice citrus scent. This is gently exfoliating and is exceptionally hydrating. To use this, you apply it to your face, wait 10-15 minutes, then rinse off. The little indigo bits will exfoliate your face while you rinse, so I recommend massaging it on your face either right before or during rinsing to get the full effect. This is a very luxurious mask and always leaves my face feeling soft.
The final product was the Facial Steam Bouquet No. 1. I've tried Amor's steams before and can't recommend them enough. This has a spicy and herbal scent to it, which isn't my favorite scent ever, but I don't mind it. To use this, you boil a cup of water with a tablespoon of the herbs in it and then place a towel over your head and breathe the steam in. It's very relaxing. The steam opens up your pores and helps clear them out. I recommend using this right before a mask because you'll open up your pores, making the mask even more effective. The box says you can use the herbal water as a hair rinse. To do that, you have to strain the water once it has cooled down, apply it to your hair, leave it on for ten minutes, then rinse. I had never thought of that before. What a great idea! After you use this on your face, you can save it to use on your hair, too.
I'm loving the Amor Naturals Fall Skincare Sample Box! I'm so glad Amor will be putting out sample boxes occasionally, even though they aren't doing the subscription box anymore. Check their site regularly for sample boxes as you can be sure they won't last long. Besides their sample boxes, they offer full size products for sale on their site. Everything is handmade by the owners, so the batches tend to be small and products sell out quickly!
