Beauteque is an online store that sells Asian beauty products to consumers all over the world.  They focus on Korean brands (K-Beauty), but also have the occasional product from other Asian countries.  They have two different subscription services, BB Bag and Mask Maven.  BB Bag comes with a new makeup bag each month and contains six to nine Asian makeup, skincare, bath, and hair care items.  This month's theme was Dazzling December and the bag everything came in was made of shiny gold fabric.

Beauteque provided me with this this BB Bag free of charge to review.

Let's see what I got this month:

The December BB Bag was worth $65.88.  The items that aren't linked, I couldn't find for sale online.  The values I used for those items were taken from the product information card Beauteque sent with the BB Bag.  $65.88 is more than double the price of the subscription, so it's a great value.

The Rainbow Volume Brush is made by Beauteque.  They make a lot of beauty tools, mostly makeup brushes.  Strangely, I almost never can find the tools they include in their subscription bags for sale individually on their website.  This brush is unique looking with its multicolored, wavy bristles.  The entire backside of the round, bristled part of the brush is a mirror.  The brush did add a little bit of volume to my hair, so if you need volume, this might be the brush for you.  Unfortunately, the last thing my hair needs is more volume, so I will not be using this.

This is the third broccoli item I have gotten in a beauty box in the past two months!  I hate broccoli and think it smells really bad, so I am always a little afraid to try broccoli beauty products.  Fortunately, this also contains blueberry and it smells like blueberry, not broccoli.  I noticed a slight brightening effect after using this a few times.  With more regular use, it might have a greater effect.  The consistency is quite thin, but it absorbs quickly.

The Pig Collagen Jelly Cream is made from hydrolyzed collagen.  This is an animal product, as you might have guessed by the name, so vegans and vegetarians will want to avoid this product.  The consistency of this is kind of weird.  It reminds me of those little slimy things I would get from the quarter toy vending machines when I was a kid.  The scent is very light, almost unnoticeable.  I did not like how it felt at all going on my face.  The collagen is supposed to help with wrinkles, but I used it only once and have no desire to use it again, so I cannot tell you how well it works.

The Urban Dollkiss Black Devil nail polish came in a variety of colors, so not all subscribers got the color I got.  My color was called Nude.  It was quite peachy.  The formula of the nail polish was very nice.  I would recommend two coats of this if you want it to be opaque.  The color wasn't my favorite, but I would love to try this polish in other colors.

Subscribers got either the Somang Keratin Silk Protein Hair Essence or the A'Pieu Smell Out Hair Mist in Fruity Girl.  I was happy to get the Keratin Silk Protein Hair Essence because I'd rather have a hair treatment than something just meant to make my hair smell a little better.  The essence contains botanical extracts and silk protein.  It's meant to keep hair moisturized, strong, and tangle-free.  It worked quite well.  You just need a very little bit, so don't go overboard or it will make your hair look a little scraggly.  Using a small amount, though, made my hair look shiny, smooth, and beautiful.  I would definitely recommend this product.

Finally, there was the Tony Moly Easy Touch Auto Lip Liner in 01, Rose Beige.  I liked the formula of this lip liner and found it held up pretty well throughout the day.  The color was a little orangier than I would have liked, but it wasn't bad.  The colors subscribers got varied. This did prevent feathering, so I would recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive lip liner that works well.

I loved the broccoli cream (once I realized it didn't smell like broccoli!) and the keratin spray.  They were fabulous finds.  I liked the nail polish and the lip liner quite a bit, I just wish they were a different color.  The formulas of both were nice, though, so no complaints there.  The hair brush is great if you need volume, but that is one thing I don't need, so it was not for me.  The collagen might be a perfectly good product, but I can't get past the consistency.  It squicks me out.  Overall, I was happy with the BB Bag this month.  There was a good variety of products, so there was a little something for everyone.

Did you get this month's BB Bag?  What did you think?  I will be posting the Beauteque Mask Maven review later this week, so stay tuned for that!
