eb5 Review

The twins are hanging out in the eb5 box!

As you might remember from my September Glossybox review, the eb5 Skincare Daily Repairing Eye Cream wasn't for me as it was a little too thick.  It would probably work better for people with dry skin, but it didn't work so well for my greasy skin.  eb5 reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to try their other eye cream, the eb5 Eye Treatment Classic, which they said wasn't quite as heavy.  I'm always up for trying something new, so I said I'd be happy to test it out.  They sent me a full size of the Eye Treatment Classic, plus a selection of sample size versions of some of their other products.

I definitely like the Eye Treatment Classic a lot more than the Daily Repair Eye Treatment!  The formula is somewhere between a cream and a gel and it's a lot more lightweight.  It absorbs quickly into my skin and makes the skin around my eyes feel moisturized but not greasy or waxy.  If you have dry skin, the Daily Repair Eye Treatment is probably the best choice for you, but, if you're like me and have oily or combination skin, the Eye Treatment Classic is the better choice.  This is fragrance-free, so, if you're sensitive to scent, this is a product you'll want to try.

If you want to exfoliate, but you don't like the gritty texture of most exfoliating products, an exfoliating cleanser that uses AHA (lactic acid) is your best bet.  The eb5 Exfoliating AHA Cleansing Lotion is a smooth, lightweight cream cleanser that gently exfoliates with AHA.  It left my skin feeling soft and smooth.  Like all eb5 products, it is fragrance-free.

The Anti-Aging Toner doesn't contain alcohol.  Alcohol can be very drying, which you might think would be good for someone like me, but it's drying in a bad way.  The eb5 Anti-Aging Toner uses algae and sage extracts to help rein in the oil.  It didn't make my skin flaky, but it did help keep it from being quite as greasy feeling.  This product is supposed to firm skin and tighten up the pores and moisturize with cucumber and vitamin E.

As far as I can tell, these products aren't sold or made by eb5.  The nail file was gentle but effective.  The fruit design on the foot scrubber is very cute.

eb5 also threw in a few foil packets of some of their products.  The Daily Repairing Eye Cream and the Exfoliating AHA Cleansing Lotion are the same products I wrote about above.  The Original 5-in-1 Facial Treatment is eb5's signature moisturizer that has been around for over sixty years.  It was lightweight, which surprised me, but I liked that about it.  It absorbed quickly and made my skin feel soft.  I haven't had a chance to try the Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum Concentrate or the Anti-Aging Collagen Treatment Serum yet.

I'm happy I gave eb5 another chance!  While the first product I tried from them, the Daily Repairing Eye Cream from my Glossybox, wasn't for me, some of their other products are perfect for my skin.  I like that they have two different eye cream formulas because different skin types sometimes need different products.  If you're looking for a high quality but relatively affordable skincare line, eb5 is worth checking out.
